California Transparency in Supply Chains Act

The California Transparency in Supply Chains Act of 2010 is designed to increase the amount of information made available by manufacturers and retailers regarding their efforts (if any) to address the issue of slavery and human trafficking, thereby allowing consumers to make better, more informed choices regarding the products they buy and the companies they choose to support. The following highlights Covestro’s global efforts in this regard.

This statement is made in relation to the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act of 2010 (SB 657) (the “Act”) Covestro LLC (“Covestro”). Covestro supports the objectives of the Act to provide consumers with information about efforts to eradicate slavery and human trafficking from our business operations and supply chains. Our understanding of slavery and human trafficking is based on the definitions given in the Act. Covestro has zero tolerance for any form of slavery or human trafficking. We are committed to always acting ethically and with integrity and transparency in our business dealings. This statement sets out Covestro’s approach to safeguard against slavery and human trafficking in our business operations and supply chain, outlined hereafter in the five key areas Verification, Audits, Certification, Internal Accountability and Training.
